I Did My Chores!

Posted by babyfeva on Sunday Jan 10, 2010 Under Product Reviews

my-precious-kid-reward-chartMy Precious Kid was nice enough to send me with a Reward Chore Chart appropriate for kids 3 years and up.  This chore chart was actually seen on Law and Order SVU.  My son was very excited to get it in the mail.  We opened it immediately and began organizing the cards.  The chart came with 48 stickers with pictures and words that corresponded with different chores.  Those stickers can be placed cards that are color coded for time of day.  There are also tokens that come with the chart that are used to reward your child for each chore done.  Once all of this is organized, let the chores begin!  My husband was not totally on board with it.  His belief  is that chores are a part of your household responsibilty and that no rewards should be given.  Although we may not use this in our household, I’m sure there are many parents out there looking for a solution to chasing after their kids to finish the chores.   My Precious Kid and Baby Feva will be hosting a giveaway soon so stay tuned!

ProGrade Health Complete Family Thermometer

Posted by babyfeva on Sunday Oct 4, 2009 Under Product Reviews, Uncategorized

safety-first-complete-family-thermometerI can’t tell you how many thermometers we have gone through in the past few years.  Well Safety 1st has a great family thermometer that has everything you need.  It comes with 3 different tips for taking underarm readings, rectal temperatures as well as readings by mouth.  With a large digital display you can easily see the final readout within seconds.  The tips are conveniently stored in the back of the unit and it recalls the last 10 temperature readouts.  Some other features are the Clean Me Alert to remind you to clean the tips and a fever light bar that lights up to indicate a fever.  Only 2 AA batteries are needed and your thermomter will be like new!!  No need to replace a faulty thermometer.  The whole family can use it!  I am really liking this thermometer because it’s so easy to use.  The price tag may seem a little high, but it is well worth it in the end.   A great pick for a babyshower gift!
